The outcome of the study should include: a cost analysis encompassing benefits and effectiveness; statistics on morbidity and mortality for diseases treated by teleconsultations and telediagnosis; an analysis of failed regional telemedicine initiatives, in order to identify mistakes and weaknesses; a measurement of the real impact of information and communication technologies on public health;
