I now present to you the case of the contract with the assigned number 700793, signed by the Ministry of Trade with the Turkish company Pakmaya for the supply of dry baking yeast. It was placed on hold by the representative of the United Kingdom in the Security Council Committee established by resolution 661 (1990) on the pretext that it could possibly be used for purposes of biological weapons production and also by the representative of the United States on the grounds of seeking information on the end-user of the item.
