• Mr. Jarab expressed his concern over the growing rift between the anti-racist discourse of some human rights activists and perceptions existing among the broader public, as attested by the electoral successes of xenophobic or racist fringe politicians.
  أعرب السيد ياراب عن قلقه إزاء اتساع الشرخ الفاصل بين الخطاب المعادي للعنصرية الذي يتبناه بعض الناشطين في مجال حقوق الإنسان والتصورات الموجودة حالياً لدى العامة، كما تشهد على ذلك الانتصارات الانتخابية التي حققها سياسيو الجماعات المتطرفة المعادية للأجانب أو العنصرية.
• Underlining the complexity of this cultural identity quest, Mr. Jarab considered education to be an essential tool, not only to make majority populations understand the moral unacceptability and practical short-sightedness of theories of forced assimilation, but to sensibly take ethnocentrism into account and to come to a deeper understanding of one's own identity and the other's, based on non-exclusivity.
  وفي معرض تشديده على الطبيعة المعقدة لعملية البحث عن الهوية الثقافية، رأى السيد ياراب في التعليم أداة أساسية، لا لجعل الأغلبية تدرك أن نظريات الاستيعاب القسري مرفوضة أخلاقياً ومحدودة الأفق عملياً فحسب، بل لمراعاة الاعتزاز بالأصل العرقي وسبر أغوار هوية الفرد وهوية الغير، على أساس عدم الإقصاء.
