  وعُقدت حلقة عمل أخرى بشأن استخدام تكنولوجيا الفضاء في دراسة منطقة الأنديز الوسطى التابعة للأرجنتين وشيلي في 11 أيار/مايو 2007 في معهد غولتش بهدف النظر في الأولويات التي ينبغي معالجتها في إطار المشروع الذي يتناول مشاكل منطقة الأنديز الوسطى العليا في الأرجنتين وشيلي، وشارك فيها ممثلون عن معاهد علمية وأكاديمية (بما فيها جامعة سان خوان الوطنية وجامعة لاسيرينا) وهيئات إدارة المياه (ومن بينها إدارة الهندسة الهيدروليكية في مقاطعة سان خوان، والمعهد الوطني للمياه في الأرجنتين) والهيئات المعنية بدراسات البيئة الجبلية (ومن بينها دائرة الجيولوجيا والتعدين) واللجنة الوطنية.
