  5-5 ويدعي صاحب البلاغ أنه أُودع المستشفى في الفترة من 27 حزيران/يونيه إلى 30 آب/أغسطس 1991 لتلقي العلاج بسبب نزفه، ومن ثم أُودع المستشفى في الفترة من 11 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 1991 إلى 4 آب/أغسطس 1992 بسبب تشخيص بإصابته باعتلال في مفاصله ومعاناته من آلام في ركبتيه وظهره وعموده الفقري، نتيجة تعذيبه وسوء معاملته أثناء الاحتجاز قبل المحاكمة.
• The Committee further notes that despite spending such a long time in hospital so soon after the alleged ill-treatment, and despite being in possession of medical certificates concerning his treatment in hospital of haematuria and arthropathy of his knees, back and spine, these certificates do not indicate that any of these sufferings resulted from actual ill-treatment.
  كما تلاحظ اللجنة أنه على الرغم من أن صاحب البلاغ بقي فترة طويلة في المستشفى، وذلك بعد فترة وجيزة من تعرضه لسوء المعاملة المزعومة، وأنه كانت بحوزته شهادات طبية تفيد بتلقيه العلاج في المستشفى بسبب نزفه ومعاناته من آلام مفصلية في ركبتيه وظهره وعموده الفقري، فإن هذه الشهادات الطبية لم تشر إلى أن أياً من أشكال هذه المعاناة كان بسبب سوء المعاملة فعلاً.
